Denton, Texas, November 3, 2014 – CBS ArcSafe®, a leading manufacturer of remote racking and switching solutions for low- and medium-voltage switchgear, introduces its remote switch actuator for General Electric “E Line” (150 A frame size) low-voltage molded case circuit breakers. The new CBS ArcSafe RSA-187A actuators allow personnel to operate the molded case circuit breakers from a safe distance stationed outside the arc-flash perimeter without having to make any modifications to the breaker.
When accompanied by a CBS ArcSafe remote switch operator (RSO) control unit, the RSA-187A reduces the need for arc-flash suits and eliminates all hazardous manual contact with gear during operation by providing open and close operation from up to 300 feet away. The actuator is lightweight, portable, easy to install and set up, and provides technicians with a simple solution for hard-to-access breaker locations. The RSA-187A requires no modifications to be installed and operated and can be moved easily and quickly from one breaker to another.
