CBS ArcSafe remote switch operators (RSOs) enable service personnel to stand outside the arc-flash protection boundary while operating electrical equipment, which reduces or eliminates the need for a full-body arc-flash hazard suit. Our RSOs can be used in conjunction with the CBS ArcSafe remote racking system or independently as a stand-alone device.

The RSO-IIID-M18 is a rechargeable 24 VDC power supply used with Remote Switch Actuators to remotely charge, close, and/or trip any electrical device. While the RSO-I only closes or trips equipment, the RSO-IIID-M18 performs the more complex operations of charging, closing, and tripping.

Uses:

• Operating push buttons, such as circuit breaker trip and close buttons
• Operating charging handles requiring single or multiple cycles
• Engaging or disengaging mechanical interlocks, such as circuit breaker interlock foot pedals
