The RSO-IV-M18 operator is a rechargeable 24V DC power supply that, when used in conjunction with an appropriate single-use Remote Racking System (RRS-3), will remotely perform any racking operation that would normally require local operation by trained personnel. Tasks the RSO and RRS-3s can perform include, but are not limited to, the following operations:

Installing and removing any switchgear utilizing a rotary racking mechanism
Installing and removing any switchgear utilizing a non-rotary racking mechanism

The CBS ArcSafe RRS-3 VY Toshiba allows technicians to rack Toshiba VY-30M25A circuit breakers (rotary racking only) in or out from up to 300 feet away, safely outside the arc flash boundary. Installation and operation require no modifications to existing equipment and the unit can be set up and removed from gear quickly, allowing operators to easily move it from one breaker to another.

By automating the racking procedure, the RRS-3 VY Toshiba reduces operator fatigue and eliminates hazardous manual contact with equipment during operation — reducing or eliminating the need for arc flash hazard suits.

An RSO-IV-M18 remote switch operator, powered by a Milwaukee® M18™ REDLITHIUM battery pack, is required for operation.

Each RRS-3 is designed, manufactured, and assembled in the USA.
