The continuous improvement of our products and systems often comes from customer feedback on how products perform in the field. We pride ourselves on being able to solve problems and create custom solutions for your equipment and needs.
Last year, a West Virginia power plant acquired CBS ArcSafe’s RSK-ABL3 remote switch kit, which is designed to operate Allen-Bradley Centerline medium-voltage motor control centers (MCCs). The customer found that one of the ABL3’s switch handles couldn’t maintain its mounted position during an operation that required more torque than average applications.
To address this issue, CBS ArcSafe visited the power plant to test a new iteration of the device featuring three reversable magnets instead of the standard two. Testing proved that when more torque was required, adding the third magnet allowed for complete operations without compromising the fit or operation of other switches. We are pleased to announce that the new three-magnet frame design is now available for the RSK-ABL3. Watch the video below and download this product bulletin to learn more about the system.
The RSK-ABL3 is a Rockwell Automation Technology Partner product. Contact us to discuss using this device in areas where you may have high incident energy on medium-voltage MCC applications.
