CBS ArcSafe’s remote switch operator (RSO) platform has allowed electrical technicians to complete remote switching operations safely outside the arc flash boundary for years, which is enough reason to make us proud. But now the platform has earned certification through the IECEE Certification Body scheme, an international system for mutual acceptance of test reports and certificates dealing with the safety of electrical and electronic components, equipment, and products.
After independent testing by Intertek that evaluated the platform against internationally recognized electrical safety standards, our RSOs are documented against the requirements of key markets in the United States, Canada, and beyond.
The IECEE CB scheme exists to promote exactly that kind of cross-border confidence. Instead of repeating a full safety evaluation country by country, one set of tests against IEC standards produces results that participating certification bodies around the world recognize. For teams that operate across borders or that simply expect independent proof that their equipment clears a recognized safety bar, it’s the difference between “we tested it” and “it’s certified.”
CBS ArcSafe’s RSO platform was evaluated to IEC 61010-1 and IEC 61010-2-201, with a Summary of Compliance addressing the requirements that matter in each market:

- CSA C22.2 No. 61010-2-201:2018, Ed. 2 — Canada
- IEC 61010-2-201:2017, Ed. 2 — International/IECEE CB scheme
Our certified RSO platform is built with our customers in mind. It incorporates an 18 VDC input powered by Milwaukee® M18™ battery packs, a 24 VDC output, a 5 VDC/0.2 A remote output, and IP67-rated protective cases ready for the field across multiple configurations for different remote operation applications.
